Who is Jesus and why does he matter?

Jesus is not an idea, a philosophy, or a tradition, but a person, the person, the presence, and the power of God. Following Jesus is not about ritual, or rules, or regulations, but allowing our mind to be renewed, and he understand who he is, from the New Testament. There are four paths for renewal that resonate in today's world are: authenticity, spirituality, identity, and freedom. Jesus for Busy People is a daily podcast to equip, empower, and encourage you in your journey of faith, life and spirituality.

Welcome to the website, Jesus for Busy People. I am the author and narrator of the daily podcast and post that began on August 22, 2025.

As Christians, we live in busy, uncertain, and challenging times, with rapid social, economic and political change at home, and war and conflict abroad. It is often difficult to find time to reflect, meditate, and pray. There are so many pressures upon our time. But it isn't just that. These days, the simple, basic message of Jesus is suppressed, rewritten and twisted by many agendas. Jesus has been recruited into our political projects and become part of the Culture Wars. We need to return to the New Testament, reexamine the life of Jesus and understand the identity of this person whom we have recreated in our image.

Who is the real Jesus? For me, the identity of Jesus is to be found in the New Testament. It has amazed me how so many people claim to be Christians and yet know so little about Jesus.

In September 2021, I set up Freedom Matters Today to teach about freedom from a Christian perspective. I created the imprint 'Hidden Road Publishing,' and from 2022 to 2024 published ten books in this series. They are all available through Amazon in paperback format.

I realized that podcasting was becoming a decisive way to communicate ideas, but I also noticed that the essence of the Christian faith was being marginalized by the Culture Wars, ideology, nationalism and politics.

I felt a calling to start a daily podcast for people simply seeking a deeper understanding of God. The focus would not be on politics, or agendas, but on the person of Jesus. It also seemed to me that we don't live in the long conversation, the rambling chat, but in the supermarket, the train schedule, traffic jams, family life, duties, and constant surprises. We have 'elevator chats' with friends or short conversations with neighbors. We are all busy.

Jesus for Busy People is promoting conversational Christianity, because we can change the world, one conversation at a time. The idea is simple. Listen to a short 5–6-minute reflection on the life of Jesus, apply it to our lives, and then talk about it to others in our own words. That way, it becomes something true, something grounded in the Bible, something authentic about the life and significance of Jesus. That is the gist of Jesus for Busy People, a short reflection on Jesus, for busy people, in our busy world today.

The life, words, and actions of Jesus matter

Jesus for Busy People is a deep dive into the life of Jesus, five minutes a day, every day. His life, his words, and his actions matter, and so we have brought some of the key themes together, like steps on a path, so we don’t miss anything of importance.

There are no politics or agendas in Jesus for Busy People

This podcast is one of the new projects of Freedom Matters Today, but it is unique. This is only about Jesus. I want you to know who Jesus is, how he saw himself, how others saw him, his relationship with his Father in heaven, his spirituality, and the freedom he enjoyed.

If you are interested in applying the Christian faith to various contemporary issues, then I encourage you to read one of my books, but Jesus for Busy People will remain non-sectarian, apolitical, with no agenda, and simply a focus on Jesus.
